Instead of spending excessive amounts of time trying to think of new content to create, you could repurpose each of your blog posts and content into at least 7 other pieces of content. Content that grows your brand, reaches more people and increases your authority.

Repurposing is when you take a piece of content and then use it to create other forms of media, like social media posts, videos, and even paid products. There are a TON of ways to repurpose your content as well as systems you could use to do this stuff on autopilot each week. Today, I’m going to cover 7 repurposing protocols so you can create more content without as much work!

  • How you can work smarter in your business by repurposing your existing content to save time, grow your blog, and reach new people

Let’s dive in! If you write one piece of blog content, consider repurposing it into one of the following formats. I’ll also be sharing a few tips for each format that will save you time and help you create better content.

1. Instagram Live

A lot of people never host Instagram Live’s because they don’t know what to talk about or the thought of going live to a bunch of strangers seems terrifying.

After doing multiple lives this past year, I will say that the fear goes away after you have a few under your belt! The best way to remove the nerves is to come prepared with what you want to say.

Instagram is changing, and the format of the content you post is shifting with it. Carousel posts are multiple-image/video posts that feature up to 10 photos or videos (or a combination) that followers can swipe through! This is a great place to share rich and useful content! Share the main points of your posts, but make sure the descriptions aren’t too lengthy! You don’t want to read a novel when scrolling online.

3. Instagram Reels / Tik Tok

Instagram Reels and Tik Tok are growing like wildfire because it is easy to connect with your audience and share valuable information. For this format, you can make multiple short videos by talking about different pieces of information from the blog post.

4. Facebook

Facebook is best used for the following things:

  • Facebook groups
  • Ads
  • Original Vidoes
  • Content-rich posts

People on Facebook are looking for valuable and engaging content, not just a link to your website. So, share the main points of your blog post on Facebook. Creating rich posts on Facebook will garner more trust and value from your audience!

5. Podcast

Add a podcast to your blog posts. Adding audio to your website or your blog posts can help reach a different audience! Some people prefer reading, while others prefer listening to information.

6. Youtube Videos

The process for turning your blog posts into YouTube videos is almost identical to turning your blog posts into a podcast. Create your blog post, pull out the main points, and then present them on video. Make sure to use stock video from time to time to keep your audience engaged!

7. Emails

Not sure what to send to your email list? A newsletter is a simple way to repurpose your blog content! Add in a gif of a stock video to increase the engagement of your emails! Seriously it is a game-changer.
