7 Apps That Every Entrepreneur Needs to Edit Videos

Have you ever tried editing a video on your phone only to end up trimming the video too much, not having the text in the right spot, and it turning into a two hour ordeal?

Yeah, I’ve been there before.

Content creation and editing videos is so much easier when you know what apps to use.

After spending a lot of time creating content and being a full-time videographer, I can guide you on which apps you will find most helpful. This list of the seven apps and tools that every entrepreneur needs when editing videos will help not only create better content, but get more eyes on it.

1. InShot

This is one of the best free video editing tools to use when editing reels or even longer formatted videos! Add text, voice overs, music, split videos, filters, and effects!

2. Prequel

Prequel is an amazing app to add filters to your video. They even have pre-made templates that allow you to create aesthetic reels that fit your branding!

3. Canva

Not only do I use this for my Instagram and other social media content, but I use it for my Pinterest pins, website headers, newsletter graphics, business cards, etc. It allows you to alter pre-made templates, or create your own. I’ve been using this for years. There are new features where you can edit videos on this as well.

4. Splice

Wanting to create a beautiful video, but don’t want to dive into fancy computer software? This is going to be your new best friend. I use Splice for artsy lookbook videos on my feed, TikTok editing, and more! It’s easy to learn, and has lots of options – including free music!

5. FilmoraGo

FilmoraGo is a great free video editor and video maker. This one has great filters and free special effects that you can use along with similar features to InShot.

6. iMovie

If you have an iPhone this is automatically on your phone and you can do simple editing with it like trimming and splitting your videos! It is also a great option for beginners.

7. Premiere Pro

Premiere Pro is my favorite video editing software. This software is your one stop shop for all things video editing from custom filters, color grading, effects, and more. This is definitely for more advanced content creators, and there is a learning curve. If you are serious about video creation and editing this is one you want to master.

Which apps do you use the most for content creation?
